Go for it as if you were a Dog and it's your bone.
Another one of these great outdoor party games is the dog and bone game:
Game: Dog and Bone Number of Players: 10 - 30 players Materials: A stick, pole or role of newspaper.(The BONE) Area: A backyard or oval
"8's Go," The 8's rush in and defend the bone and making a grap for it at the right time of course.....Oop's I am getting in front of myself, sorry.(I must be to excited)
What you need You don't need much to play this party game like many outdoor party games.
First
Make the kids line up in a line shortest to tallest. Divide them up. One on one side the next on the other, until you have too even lines opposite each other. Second
Place the stick, pole or role of newspaper on the ground. Between the two teams make the teams line up from shortest to tallest. Then give each a number, starting at the shortest with the number one and the next two and so on. Do this to both teams always starting at with the shortest. So when you do call up the teams they will be about the same height and so it will be even.
Third-The Rules
Then you or the organizer(can't be from either of the teams.) Calls out an number. Has to be, between 1 to however many numbers in each team there are. Those two try to get the bone back to their team. If one person takes the bone and gets it back to his team he wins and gets a point. If a player picks up the bone and tries to get it to his team and somehow the other player touches him he has to drop the bone there and then they keep playing.
Fourth
After going through the team a few times(so every player has had a turn), and after 35 rounds the team with the most points win
Fifth-Going through the teams.
Don't go through the teams and call out who is going next by going,"1's" and after the round go,"2's"and then,"3's". NO please don't do that. For this outdoor party game you say it like this: "1's" and then the next round,"5's" next round,"3's" You need to do it in a different order so they don't know who will be called next(that spices up this game).
Sixth-other things
If a team is going for two long, send another team in to make it more exciting.
