Who did it? Where did they do it? With what did they do it with.
Cluedo is a very exciting mystery game.
I will explain the rules.
You need 3 to 6 players to play the game.
Each player chooses a playing piece (green, red, yellow, blue, purple, white)Each playing piece is one of the suspects and the clue finders.
Green--------Mr Green
Red----------Miss Scarlet
Yellow-------Colonel Mustard
Blue---------Mrs Peacock
Purple-------Professor Plum
White--------Mrs White
These are all the suspects. That's why the cluedo board game is a mystery game. One of these people did the crime.
One of these suspects did the crime. Where did they do it? Either in one of these rooms: Hall, Lounge, Dinning room, Kitchen, Ballroom, Conservatory, Billiard room, Library or Study.
Last of all, What did they use to commit the crime?: knife, candlestick, revolver, rope, lead pipe or the wrench.
So we know the the suspects, rooms and the tools of the crime.
The way to play
You put the cards in three piles: Suspects, Weapons and Rooms. Next you shuffle the piles and without looking (and making sure the rest of the players don't look either) you pull one out of each pile and put it in the the CONFIDENTIAL envelope. The cards in the CONFIDENTIAL envelope: is the person who did, what room they did it and the weapon of the crime. Then you shuffle the rest of the cards together and then deal them to each player. Each player can then look at his/her cards and tick those off on the list, since they are not in the CONFIDENTIAL envelope.
Miss Scarlet always starts the game. She rolls the dice. She can move that many tiles. She passes the dice then on to the next player.
You only can move into a room through a door. You can only suspect that room when you are in that room. Each tile is a moving space.
Suspecting someone
Once in a room, you can suspect someone. You then place the person you suspect and a weapon and put them in the room you are in. (You can suspect yourself) Then you say, " I suspect ...." and mention the weapon, person and place you suspect. For example, "I suspect Miss White with the Wrench in the Ballroom." Then you go around the table starting on your left and when they show you a card, if they have got it, once you have seen one card, no-one else needs to show you a card then you can tick that card off your Detective list since that is not in the CONFIDENTIAL envelope.
Accusation
After you have used your brain and then ticked off all or enough of the answers on your Cluedo check-list of suspects, weapons and rooms, then you can accuse.
In the CONFIDENTIAL envelope there is one room, weapon and suspect. At the beginning of your turn, you can accuse, but if you are wrong you are out. Most people wait until they are sure. So when your Cluedo check-list has lots or all the boxes marked, (except one for that one that is in the CONFIDENTIAL envelope), it would be wise to accuse.
At the beginning of your turn, you say, "I accuse......(a person, a weapon and a room)" Then you pull the cards out of the envelope (don't show anyone). If one of the cards is wrong, you lose and put them back in the CONFIDENTIAL envelope. If you are right, you can put them on the board.
